In the second BIIF golf meet of 2022, Waiakea was again the team to beat on a windy Wednesday at Waikoloa Resort.

The Warriors won both the team titles, with Waiakea golfers claiming three of the top four spots in both the boys’ and girls’ competitions.

Dysen Park led the way for the boys; his 1-under-par 70 was ahead of teammate Ryder Ng and Makua Lani’s Caleb Markoff by six strokes to earn medalist honors. For the girls, Elle Otani and Kiersten Saludares tied for the top spot with a 4-over-par 75. Hawaii Prep’s Isabella Rodriguez placed third, 11 strokes back with an 86.

Waiakea’s boys notched a total team score of +40, far ahead of second-place Hilo (+102) and Makua Lani (+139). The Warrior girls tallied a team score of +33 to finish ahead of Hilo at +142.
